This is the most exciting phase of the whole building process, a time when you can imagine your new home in a dozen different ways. The more time you take and the more ideas you get (and reject) the more certain you'll be later that what you are doing is what you really want.
- Visit show homes, home expos and open homes. See what other people have done with their bathrooms, and kitchens and outdoor areas.
- Be nosey. Go out walking with a camera. If you see exteriors you like, snap them!
- Find out which builders and architects in your area come highly recommended. Visit homes that they have designed.
- Buy design magazines, clip out photos of rooms you like. These are important reference points when you finally brief an architect or designer.
- Visit this site often and use your online scrapbook to collect and collate the ideas you like best!
